Hi, I'm Antho. I built Uvelia because I got tired of every free PDF site asking me to upload my file just to rotate one page, or split a contract, or compress a scan.

Some of those files were tax documents. Some were contracts. Some were just personal scans I'd rather not see indexed by someone else's analytics pipeline.

It turns out you don't need a server to do most of this. Why “Uvelia”?

It's short, available everywhere, and the U feels like the kind of thing you'd say when something just works. That's the whole reasoning. I'm not great at naming.
